Meross smart-home products are discounted by up to 38% during Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, according to CNET. Listed offers include a $72 Wi-Fi water timer and a $59 garage-door opener kit; availability and prices may change.
Selected Meross smart-home products are discounted by up to 38% during Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, CNET reported, with listed offers including a $72 Wi-Fi water timer and a $59 garage-door opener kit. The promotions give shoppers a chance to buy connected devices for outdoor watering, garage access and home energy management at reduced prices, though deal prices and stock can change.
CNET said the largest discount in its roundup is on the Meross Wi-Fi water timer, listed for $72 against a $116 list price. The device connects to a garden hose or sprinkler system, supports two watering zones for plants with different needs and can use real-time weather data to skip watering when rain is forecast. The discount is described as $44, or about 38% off the stated list price.
A Meross smart garage-door opener kit is listed at $59, down from $70, which CNET described as a 15% saving. The report says the model has an external antenna intended to improve Wi-Fi reception and extend range. CNET also mentions a Meross smart thermostat priced at $68 and an outdoor smart plug discounted by 15%, but does not provide their regular prices in the supplied report.
The offers are part of Amazon’s October Prime Day event, according to CNET. Its roundup points readers to the Meross sale section on Amazon, while cautioning in general that the deals may not remain available. The source material does not provide a full product-by-product list of sale end times or confirm how long each price will last.
Lower Prices on Connected Home Gear
The sale may lower the upfront cost of products used for routine household tasks. A weather-aware water timer, for example, can adjust watering around forecast rain, while a smart plug can let users control compatible lights remotely. A garage-door opener kit can add app-based access, subject to the product’s compatibility and setup requirements.
The prices also provide a point of comparison for shoppers deciding whether to buy now or choose a different device. CNET identifies the $68 Meross thermostat as a lower-priced option, while noting that the Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium is on sale for $210. Those figures describe different products and do not establish that one will suit every home; features, compatibility and installation needs matter alongside price.

What CNET Listed in the Sale
CNET’s report frames the offers as part of Amazon’s October Prime Day sale and highlights Meross products across several categories, including smart plugs, strip lights, thermostats, watering controls and garage-door accessories. The supplied material identifies selected prices rather than documenting every item in the brand’s Amazon sale section.
The report also references CNET’s 2026 list of best smart garage-door openers, saying one of the discounted Meross kits appeared on that list. CNET Senior Editor Tyler Lacoma praised the opener kit’s potential usefulness for longer driveways or homes with multiple garage doors, and cited its Apple CarPlay support. That is an attributed editorial assessment, not a guarantee that the device will work with every vehicle or garage setup.

Prices and Compatibility May Change
The supplied report does not specify when each offer expires, whether every listed price is still active, or how much stock remains. Sale prices can change, and the maximum advertised discount does not apply to every product mentioned: CNET lists 15% off the garage-door opener and outdoor plug, while the water timer is the item described as discounted by about 38%.
Product compatibility is another open question for individual shoppers. The source does not give full details on supported smart-home platforms, network requirements, garage-door models or thermostat installation. Buyers should check the current product listing and manufacturer specifications before purchasing. The report also does not establish how much any device will reduce energy or water use in a particular household.
Check Live Listings Before Buying
Shoppers interested in the offers can check Meross’s Amazon sale listings for current prices, stock and any stated promotion deadlines. They should confirm the exact model and its compatibility with their home setup, and compare the current price with the listed regular price before ordering. CNET’s roundup names several examples, but the available source material does not confirm whether additional Meross products or discounts will be added as the sale continues.
